What is Massage Therapy?
Using touch to manipulate muscles and soft tissue of the body, massage therapy helps in addressing a variety of conditions, and in alleviating the tensions of our modern lifestyle. Massage therapy helps to relieve pain, heal injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.
About Patti Salinas, CMT
Patti Salinas is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and has been doing bodywork since 1990. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) since 2000, with a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certification. For the last 11 years she has been on the Health and Performance team at Google as a Massage Therapist.
Patti enjoys working with her clients to evaluate posture and utilize realignment strategies by using soft tissue modalities along with recommendations of self-care for rebalancing. She addresses overuse activities, which may contribute to muscular tightness and/or weakness. With these two disciplines, Patti can offer clients the opportunity to experience an integrated approach to massage.
Through comprehensive assessment of posture and alignment, she will tailor the massage to address specific areas. Patti appreciates a collaborative relationship with her clients, working to achieve and maintain freedom of movement. She believes that ease of movement reinforces a healthy relationship between body, mind, and spirit.
