At Center of Balance, bodywork is incorporated into our private sessions to assist in your process of healing, tension release, and creating more balance. This may include tactile cueing, skilled hands-on adjustments during an exercise, assisted stretching, and/or myofascial release techniques.
Bodywork integrated into your session helps correct muscular / fascial imbalances that hinder harmonious movement and healthy posture. You gain awareness about your body and how to modify behaviors and activities that relieve muscle tension and pain. The art of touch can be profound for helping you make connections and create positive change in your movements.

Physical Therapy with Therese Voelker
In addition to offering Pilates-based rehabilitation by all of our instructors, our licensed Physical Therapist Therese Voelker is available for PT evaluations and private sessions of PT-related exercise protocols. She offers full 55-minute sessions to educate you on how to move better and rehab sufficiently. Our goal is to move clients beyond PT and onto a health and wellness path. Along with addressing the treatment issue, Therese's approach takes into account full body movement re-education, alignment and conditioning. We believe your long-term progress and recovery is related to how well you integrate your rehabilitation into a full-body program.
Chiropractic Care with Juliet Tablak, DC
Chiropractic care is a gentle and natural hands-on approach to improving alignment of the spine, pelvis, and extremities. Creating better alignment and symmetry will improve the function of your nervous system, allowing it to perform clearly and optimally. Chiropractic care can help improve stress levels and immune function, decrease pain from injury (acute or chronic), relieve back pain and chronic headaches, and can improve long standing patterns of asymmetry and alignment, making it a perfect compliment to your movement practice. Dr. Juliet approaches each patient as unique and individual. She tailors each treatment to the whole body, assessing movement, alignment, and function. She creates a specific treatment plan to improve each patient’s ability and function in all areas.
Massage Therapy with Vicki Burton
Using touch to manipulate muscles and soft tissue of the body, massage therapy helps in addressing a variety of conditions, and in alleviating the tensions of our modern lifestyle. Massage therapy helps to relieve pain, heal injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients. Vicki personalizes a massage session based on specific needs and goals of the client. Using a combination of modalities such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point therapy, and Reiki, she will tailor each session to best alleviate stress, reduce tension, and optimize a client’s energy. Vicki specializes in specific neck work, believing that the entire kinetic chain is frequently a reflection of conditions present in the neck and shoulders, and often addresses this common area of stress first.
We also have a CranioSacral therapist at Center of Balance who has been a practitioner since 1990. Judy Ann has a background in Orthopedic and Physical Therapy and takes a functional approach to her work. She works with all types of clients, including newborns, children, adults and the elderly. A gentle hands-on treatment, CranioSacral Therapy uses the wave-like motion of the spinal fluid to detect and help release restrictions in the body tissues, wherever they may occur, promoting healing and well-being.
