"Tom is a wonderful teacher not only because he is an expert, but also because he embodies compassion and caring for every student. It is a privilege to study with him."
- Teacher in Training

Center of Balance has been a premier Pilates teacher training center since 2001, with full mat and equipment courses taught by Tom McCook for PhysicalMind Institute formerly, and currently for Balanced Body (BB).

The Center of Balance & BB Program is designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers. Our curriculum emphasizes the principles underlying each exercise. Courses are modular and progressive, allowing students to build on their education and training in the way that works best for them. These courses are also a great opportunity for certified instructors to learn new teaching tools and for renewed inspiration. All courses are taught by Tom McCook with Evangeline Williams in weekend modules, giving students who live outside of the Bay area an easier opportunity to train with us.
