Pilates Mat
Based on the teachings of Joseph H. Pilates, this exercise style strengthens and stretches muscles. It focuses the mind to work the body. Involving full body participation, movements originate from the core of the body outward. Pilates is practiced on the floor (mat) as well as with special spring-loaded equipment that simulates the mechanics of human muscle tension, helping to develop body stability, graceful and efficient movement and breath control. The body and mind become light, lifted and energized. (Private sessions using both the mat and the equipment are available by appointment.) Click here for our class schedule

Pilates & Yoga Progression
This class seamlessly blends Pilates mat and Yoga postures influenced by Ana Forrest and Ashtanga. You'll learn fundamentals of movement, conscious breathing, resistance stretching, and use of props, to get the most out of each class. Pilates & Yoga Progression teaches you to focus your mind and make connections in your body. You'll learn to move with grace and develop flexibility, strength and balance. Yoga / Pilates Immersion (by Appointment)
This weekly small group with Tom integrates innovative movement practices to help enhance your experience and understanding of the human design. Each class is taught from the perspective of improving function, awareness, conditioning and movement skills by combining Franklin Method, Yoga and Pilates. For experienced practitioners only, Tom addresses individual needs and offers hands-on adjustments for accelerated learning. Click here for our current schedule

Pilates Equipment Groups (by Appointment)
Group equipment sessions teach you the Pilates exercises using specially-designed equipment, including the Reformer, Wall Unit, Chair and various props. Each group is limited in size so you'll get individualized attention in the energy of a group setting. Students interested in joining a group should schedule an Initial Session with one of our experienced instructors who will work with you to develop a program to best meet your individual needs and goals. If groups are an appropriate program for you, we generally require a minimum of 5 one-on-one Private Sessions prior to joining a group in order to give you optimum results and a thorough understanding of our work.  Groups are scheduled by appointment and there is a 24 hour cancellation policy.     Pilates Equipment Essentials (5 Week Series)
    This 5-week intensive teaches the fundamentals and proper Pilates technique. Upon completion of the 5 week Essential series, students may repeat the series or transition into a Level 1 Pilates equipment group, with instructor approval. This 5-week Intensive is open to all levels of students with some movement experience, and who are injury-free. This is a tuition-based course with no make-up sessions offered.     Level 1 - Beginner
    Level 1 equipment sessions emphasize proper body positioning and good movement mechanics as students practice the fundamental and beginning exercises on the Reformer, Wall Unit and Chair.

    Level 2 - Beginner / Intermediate
    Level 2 sessions emphasize beginning and intermediate Pilates mat and equipment exercises. You'll get a complete body workout, with increased challenges and a more varied repertoire from Level 1 sessions.

    Level 3 - Intermediate / Advanced
    Level 3 Pilates mat and equipment sessions will move into more advanced movements. Students will build on level 2 exercises with an even greater demand for body/mind focus. These sessions will challenge and invigorate, expanding your awareness and creating a new level of conditioning and ability.

Pre-Natal Pilates Equipment Groups (by Appointment)
Navigate and celebrate the many changes in your body as you prepare for your new baby! This specialized group for pregnant women offers a conditioning-based workout on the Pilates equipment, with emphasis on awareness and activation of the pelvic floor. You'll learn valuable tools to address posture and balance issues, plus support the transformation of your body during pregnancy and the post-natal healing process. Pilates equipment experience is required to join this group.

Pilates Equipment Essentials (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Whether you're just starting Pilates or want to freshen up your skills, this 5-Week Intensive is a safe, effective and energizing way to do it! Equipment Essentials will teach you the fundamentals and essential Pilates exercises on the mat, Reformer, Wall Unit and Chair. You'll increase your awareness and ability, with a noticeable carry-over into how you approach your everyday life. This is a tuition-based course with no make-up sessions offered. Pilates Mat Essentials (by Appointment)

Get the most out of the mat! You'll learn the fundamentals and proper technique of Pilates mat, focusing on body connections, breathing, alignment and awareness. Learn how to identify your own weaknesses and imbalances and work with them to restore healthier movement. Props — rollers, barrels, magic circles and balls — are used as tools to help students feel deeper into the subtleties of the exercises. This is great for newcomers to Pilates, who want to get the most out of mat class, and for those who want to refine their knowledge, understanding and ability. Intermediate / Advanced Pilates Mat (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Take your practice to the next level! This intensive is for Pilates students committed to frequent practice, who are looking to deepen their understanding. Intermediate / Advanced Pilates matwork is designed to progress students to a higher level of skill and awareness. This 5-Week Intensive focuses on releasing tension, accessing the pelvic floor and deep abdominals, aligning the body and mind, and staying connected throughout each exercise progression. Intermediate / Advanced Equipment (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Hone your practice! Learn the intermediate / advanced repertoire and go to the next level of body control, coordination and conditioning. This 5-Week intensive will move into the int/adv exercises with attention to stability, tone and alignment which is necessary for proper execution at this level. Each week, exercises will be added and reviewed for deeper understanding. Come prepared to focus and get a satisfying workout! This is a tuition-based course with no make-up sessions offered. Franklin Method (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Let your body teach you how to move! In this 5-Week Intensive, you'll discover the benefits of mind/body connection through imagery, experiential anatomy, movement and touch. In an energizing group setting, you'll learn how imagery provides the brain with the feedback it needs to create ease of movement, flexibility and strength. And you'll expand your understanding of the human design by learning how bones move in relationship to each other and lead the muscles in movement. We'll experiment with a rich variety of practices — from everyday activities, to dynamic stretching with the theraband and Franklin balls — to shift old patterns and help free up the body. This innovative approach will enhance your function and ability, release tension, improve balance, coordination and strength, and help you develop awareness that you can take into all aspects of your life! Anatomy of Stretching (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Learn how to stretch effectively! In this 5-Week Intensive, you'll expand your understanding and image of stretching through a variety of approaches. You'll learn the importance of alignment, proper movement and positioning of joints, resistance, breathing, focus and awareness. We'll begin with breathing exercises to awaken the senses and establish core connections, followed by movement and stretching techniques to improve strength, stability and structural balance. Along with stretching your muscles, you'll broaden your skills to develop a healthier mind / body connection. Standing Pilates (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Take Pilates to standing! Adapting the Pilates floor exercises to a standing position helps develop coordination and balance in relation to gravity. You'll enhance your ability to move, stretch and bend with ease and control. This is truly functional fitness. Benefits of the work include building stronger bones, better balance, conditioning and improved posture. Pilates on the Ball (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Try Pilates on the Ball! Enhance your understanding of the Pilates fundamentals through focused practice on the Mat and Exercise Ball. This 5-Week intensive will help improve your Pilates practice with the added challenge and variety of the Ball. You'll learn how to access deep stabilizing muscles for improved coordination and movement awareness. A full-body workout, classes combine cardio with core strength training. This series is great for intermediate students who want to deepen their knowledge of Pilates while building tone, strength, and stamina! Elvis "the Pelvis" (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Experience ELVIS "the Pelvis", a device specially-designed to help people become more conscious in their bodies. You'll learn exercises aimed at stabilizing and mobilizing ankles, knees, hips, back and shoulders, enabling you to improve your physical condition by strengthening and stretching in a three dimensional way. Elvis is an extremely effective tool for exposing weaknesses and addressing them simultaneously. It's part of the innovative BodyCode System of equipment designed by Pino Carbone of Italy. MasterStretch (by Appointment)
5 Week Series
Increase your flexibility and strength with MasterStretch! MasterStretch is a device created by Pino Carbone of BodyCode for exercises aimed at lengthening and strengthening your muscles and tendons. Based on a rocking movement of the ankles, these exercises help to move your center of gravity back and forth which improves coordination, stability and balance. Some of the benefits include reduced injury and muscles strains, better posture and awareness, increased blood circulation, improved movement!
